We collect one piece of personal information: your email address. We use it for exactly one purpose — verifying that you (or your school, employer, or organization) have a license to use the app. We show no ads, use no advertising or tracking SDKs, and never sell or rent your information to anyone.

Your favorite states, chosen color theme, and optional birthday (used to display "legal for you" age badges) are stored in your device's local storage only. They are never transmitted to our servers. Deleting the app or clearing browser data removes them.
We use a small number of infrastructure providers that process data on our behalf, only as needed to run the service:
We keep your email/license record for as long as your access is active. You can request deletion of your account and data at any time — see our account deletion page. Requests are completed within 30 days. Purchase records are retained by our payment processor and in our financial records as required by tax and accounting law.
The app is not directed at children and is rated for mature audiences because it references alcohol, tobacco, cannabis, firearms, and age-of-consent law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children; if you believe a child has provided us an email address, contact us and we will delete it.
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Sign-in codes are stored only as one-way hashes and expire within 10 minutes. Sign-in tokens from Google and Microsoft are cryptographically verified on our servers.
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above and describe material changes in the app store release notes for the version in which they take effect. (Note: versions of the Android app before v1.1 were fully offline and collected no data at all; this policy reflects the current sign-in-based version.)
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the information we hold about you (your email and license record) by contacting us at the email below or via the deletion page.
